South Dakota Agricultural Land Trust

Our South Dakota Heritage from One Generation to the Next.

Who We Are

SDALT will work with landowners to conserve South Dakota’s agricultural heritage and working landscapes for the benefit of future generations. We will use our best practices to deliver meaningful conservation solutions to South Dakota producers.

What We Do

SDALT works to assist South Dakota’s farmers and ranchers in achieving their conservation and operational goals. We help conserve agricultural landscapes and economically viable farms and ranches through voluntary, incentive-based methods.

Why We Care

Commitment to the Members – We were founded by the membership of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association, South Dakota Association of Conservation Districts, South Dakota Grasslands Coalition, and South Dakota Farm Bureau.

Our Mission

SDALT is an organization founded by South Dakota farmers and ranchers for South Dakota farmers and ranchers.

We work with landowners to conserve South Dakota’s agricultural heritage and working landscapes for the benefit of future generations.
